Touch This Sunflower, a hyper-realistic Chiaroscuro oil painting done on a black canvas, of a sunflower from my backyard. The depth is achieved not only from the realistic rendering, but from the luminescent light coming through the leaves, urging our eyes to look back into the depths. When I have this painting up on my wall, people come to touch it, to make sure that I didn't just glue a sunflower to the canvas.
